Theresa C. Garley

Theresa C. Garley passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 19, 2023.
Theresa was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, daughter, and friend. She was born and raised in Bernalillo, NM.

She was a wonderful, giving, and caring person. She gave from her heart anything that anyone needed. She was a great cook, seamstress, and baker and was talented in so many ways. Theresa had a great work ethic, which she demonstrated in her numerous professional and personal endeavors. She made the best New Mexican food, including fresh tortillas, tamales, enchiladas, and biscochitos. Anytime someone stopped by to visit, they were treated to a delicious home-cooked meal. She was generous with her love, her time, and her gifts. Theresa will be greatly missed by her family.

Theresa was preceded in death by her parents, Fidel Sr. and Carmelita Chavez; brothers, Fidel Jr., Archie, and James; sisters, Flora and Josie; and grandson, Tony C. Garley Jr.
She is survived by her children, Tony Garley (Rosemary) and Lloyd Garley (Maria); grandchildren, Kiara Garley-Jaramillo (Marcus) and Kayla Garley; great-granddaughter, Aria Jaramillo; step-granddaughter, Kristina De Santiago; step-great-grandchildren, Alicia Castillo, Andres De Santiago, and Hana Sandoval; sisters, Violet Padilla (Cippy), Stella Perea, Dolo Gutierrez, Shirley Dominguez (Eddie), and Sandie Mirabal (Ray); brother, David Chavez (Irene); and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Pallbearers: Cipriano (Cippy) Padilla Sr., Eddie Dominguez, Ray Mirabal, Andrew Montoya, and Marcus Jaramillo. Funeral services will be held at a future date at Prince of Peace Catholic Community in Albuquerque, NM.

A Rosary will be held on Friday, May 12, 2023, at 11:00 a.m., followed by a Mass at 11:30 a.m., at Prince of Peace Catholic Community, 12500 Carmel Ave. NE - Albuquerque, NM 87122. Interment will take place at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery, 924 Menaul Blvd NE Albuquerque, NM. A reception will be held at the Prince of Peace community room following the interment.
