Theodore (Ted) Quentin Hall King, age 82, of Albuquerque, NM, passed away on Friday, August 15th, 2025, of natural causes. Ted was born August 25th, 1943, in Rochester, New York, the son of Clifford Hall and Myrtle (Lottes) Hall. He is preceded in death by his wives, Roberta (Burns) King and Kathy (Scott) King, his father Clifford Hall, adoptive father Rex King, and mother Myrtle (Lottes) King. He is survived by his daughter Deirdre (and spouse, Merle) Crutchfield and their sons Merle and Nathan, his son Marvin Randall (Randy) (and spouse, Julian) Bennett-King, his son Robin (and spouse, Krista) King and their son Alex Murray, and his son Jeremy Mark King and his son Preston, and brothers Eugene King and Thomas King.

Ted moved to Sitka, Alaska with his mother and brother in 1954, after the death of his father, and lived there until 1959. Despite being a relatively short period in his life, it was certainly a defining experience for him, and he would still talk about his life there in great detail all the way up until the time of his death. They relocated to Northern California when Ted was in high school. He was fascinated by the California car culture of the 1950s & 60s, best portrayed in the movie American Graffiti, a movie he loved and frequently referenced throughout his life.

In 1963, Ted relocated with his family to New Mexico, eventually settling on an 80-acre ranch about 20 miles north of Las Vegas. He stayed there, building a house and raising four children, while advancing his career at New Mexico Highlands University. In 1992, he moved with his wife and two youngest children to Albuquerque, where he remained until the time of his passing.

He worked for many years as an educator and many people have benefited from being his student. He also managed large computer networks for a variety of institutions, including New Mexico Highlands University, Lovelace Health System, and Honeywell FM&T. He was an active member of the Tarbiyat Baha'i Faith Community in New Mexico since the time of its inception.

Ted was a very kind and intelligent man, known for having a big heart and being very knowledgeable about a large array of topics. He often used his vast knowledge to help his friends and family when they were in need. Ted was laid to rest in a small Baha'i ceremony on August 20, 2025. He will be missed by many and remain in the hearts of his family.
