Teresa Valles (Alvidrez), age 43, our loving wife, daughter, sister, niece, cousin and friend, was called to eternal rest on Friday, July 31, 2020. She was preceded in death by her father, Ronnie; aunts, Rosemary and Linda; Uncles, Timo and Ernesto; and her “gramps’, Lino. She is survived by her husband, Randy; mother, Eva; brother, Alfredo; nine aunts; four uncles; 14 first cousins; and numerous friends, family members and loved ones. Teresa came into this world on Wednesday, May 18, 1977 in El Paso, TX; born to Ronnie and Eva Alvidrez. Raised in Anthony, NM, she attended Gadsden High School and graduated in 1995. She was involved in several extracurriculars but, with her vivacious spirit cheerleading was her joy. Afterward she went on to receive her Bachelor of Arts in Social Work, BSW in 2003. During this time, she found her partner in life, Randy and were soon married on Friday, December 23, 2005. For 15 years they lived a life of many explorations all over the country and adventures on the Harley. She absolutely loved to travel and as an avid Raider fan (they even named their dog Raider!) the NFL is thankful for the many games they attended. Our summers at the ballpark were also what truly made her happy. Randy and Teresa moved to Albuquerque so that she could pursue her career, accepting a job with the State of New Mexico, initially with CYFD. She was passionate about her job throughout her career, helping countless people through their most difficult times. Now, in our most difficult time, we honor her for the selfless sacrifices she made to better the lives of children, families in need, and her community in general. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, August 10, 2020 at 4:00 p.m. however due to COVID-19, it will be streamed live at the link listed below. In lieu of flowers, we humbly ask that you take some time to visit the website of the Assistance League of Albuquerque at http://assistanceleagueabq.org . There, you can donate or find other ways to help in her name, as they work closely with CYFD to provide clothes and shoes for children, partnerships for the hungry and homeless, and several other programs for the countless families in need in our community. With her infectious smile, and jovial chuckle, she touched so many. She loved her family and friends intensely and in her final curtain call, we return that love with the same adoration and devotion, forever and always. She will be sorely missed.
The family also requests for all who attend the live stream of the service to please sign the online guestbook so that they know who attended.
