Suzie Jane Beckner

Suzie Jane was born June 26, 1938, to Ralph and Ruby Sullivan in Peru, Indiana. She was the big sister to brothers Joe and Dave.

She grew up with many cousins and had wonderful memories of family gatherings throughout her childhood. Suzie married Harmon Beckner in 1960 and later moved to California, bringing her horse, Natasha, along. They were blessed with four children, India (Allan) Hege, Ben (Mindee), Francena (Darin) Denlinger, and Polly (Bryan) Lynch.

Suzie's family was precious to her. She was loved and treasured by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Suzie loved and worshipped her Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ with all her heart, soul and mind. She knew she had been redeemed by the Blood of the Lamb and prayed her loved ones would receive the same gift of salvation she treasured so dearly. Her life testified these truths: "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through Him." John 3:16-17 (ESV) and "because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." Romans 10:9 (ESV).

Suzie had an uncanny knack for animal husbandry. Her lifelong love of dogs and horses started as a young girl. She fondly reminisced dressing up her childhood pony and she was never without the company of a dog or two.

Suzie was loved and adored by many and was called 'Grandmother' by most people she met. It was not uncommon to have family friends ask her actual name because 'Grandmother' was the only name they knew.

Suzie's last years were spent with Allan and India in Albuquerque, New Mexico. There she helped serve in the U-Turn for Christ New Mexico ministry where she became 'Grandmother' to all.

Suzie was welcomed into the arms of her Savior on Thursday evening, September 24th, 2026. Suzie's memorial service will be held at Country Christian Center, Pasco, Washington on Saturday, October 10, 2026, time to be determined.
