Susana V. Gaxiola, born on August 11, 1948, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away peacefully surrounded by all her family in her home in Midlothian, Texas. Her legacy is one of unwavering faith and profound love, both of which she exemplified throughout her life. Susana devoted herself to serving the Lord from an early age, having been baptized at the age of 10 in the Apostolic Assembly, First Apostolic church of the Faith in Christ Jesus Albuquerque New Mexico. She spent over 40 years as a devoted pastor's wife, serving alongside her husband René Gaxiola in ministry, and was honored to hold the position of Bishop's wife as well as the President of the Dorcas Society for the New Mexico District.Throughout her ministry, Susana had a significant impact on the lives of countless individuals, especially the women she encouraged in their spiritual journeys. Her faithful service extended beyond the United States, as she and her husband served as missionaries in Barcelona, Spain, where they welcomed their only son, Gabriel Gaxiola. Her dedication and commitment to her faith left a lasting legacy that will continue to inspire many.

Susana dedicated more than 20 years of her career to Sparton Technology, where she worked as an engineer before retiring. Following her retirement, she began a second career with the Social Security Administration, where she faithfully served until retiring once again. Her strong work ethic, professionalism, and commitment to serving others were evident throughout her distinguished career.

Susana took great joy in her family. She was a loving grandmother to her grandchildren: Emiliano, David, Elijah, Anthony, Mikey, Gabriela, Suzana, Melanie, Aubrianna, Marley, and baby René Gaxiola. Great grandchildren: Rosie, Cherry, Romeo, Leo and Lily, as well as a cherished grandmother to over 20 additional adoptive grandchildren all of whom voluntarily claimed her as their gramma due to her love and affection. A gifted musician, Susana enjoyed playing the piano and accordion, often sharing her musical talents with those around her.She is survived by her son Gabriel Gaxiola, her daughter-in-law Mirna Gaxiola, her Brother Bert Vasquez, Sister Rachel Martinez and Sister Mary Baldemar. Susana V. Gaxiola will be remembered for her devotion to God, her loving spirit, and her many contributions to her family and community.

Susana was preceded in death by: Her husband René Gaxiola, her Father Eliberto Vázquez, her Mother Rebeca Vázquez, Sister Martha Rodriguez and Brother Rudy Vasquez

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2026 - The Cornerstone Apostolic Church at 10:00am with a graveside to follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
