Sunny Romero

Our beloved Sunny Romero, 52, of Albuquerque, passed away on June 6, 2026 at his home. He was born on July 15, 1973 to Ronald and Tillie Romero in Albuquerque.

Sunny was a graduate of Rio Grande High School. He was a bartender/mixologist and later enjoyed making sculpture art and drawing. Sunny was a soulful, kindhearted and loving person who was always willing to help others. He loved his family most of all.

Sunny is survived by his mother, Tillie Sanchez; step-father, Louis Sanchez; siblings, Jodi Romero, Poppy Romero, and Honey Kelly; niece, Rozee Dominguez; nephew, Mateo Showery; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins who dearly loved him. He was preceded in death by his father, Ronald Romero; and his grandparents, Joe and Modesta Fernandez, Lena and Sherman Hamilton, and Sam Romero.
