Steven Herst, 74, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather was called home on May 8, 2017. He entered this world on June 12, 1942 in Burton, Ohio, born to Ward and Rosalie Herst. He is survived by his wife, Violet;brothers and sisters, Lalor, Rosa Lee, Ward, Ernie, and Warner; children, Arleen, Vicki, Aaron; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Steven served in the Vietnam War and was a decorated Veteran. He enjoyed working on cars, gardening and tinkering around the house. He loved to tell jokes and share his stories.
A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, May 15, 2017 at Santa Fe National Cemetery, Santa Fe NM.
