Stanley moved on to his heavenly home on December 13, 2020.

Stanley was born in Cleveland, Ohio March 6, 1922 to Joseph and Pauline Solarz. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He was a proud World War II navy veteran who was part of the first wave on Omaha Beach.

He is survived by children, Alice Graves, Albuquerque, Paul (Heather) Solarz, Prineville, OR, Phyllis (Mike) Farley, Edgewood; granddaughter, Kathleen Farley, Brooklyn, NY; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by wife Charlotte; brothers, Ben, Ted, Joe, Frank, Eddy; sisters, Anna, Mary, Sophie, Julia, Helen.

He loved all sports, was track star in high school, and played in the senior softball league till he was 85. He enjoyed following his teams, Cleveland Browns and Ohio State Football.
