Stanley Bolton

April 6, 1944 — August 17, 2025

Stanley Brian Bolton, 81, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away on August 17, 2025.

Born on April 6, 1944, Stan was a proud Albuquerque native whose life was deeply rooted in family, faith, hard work, and adventure. He shared 56 wonderful years with his beloved wife, Karen Bolton, who lovingly cared for him throughout his later years. Together they built a family full of love, laughter, and cherished memories.

Stan was the devoted father of four children: Kenneth Bolton (deceased), Timothy Bolton and his partner Laura LaBlanc of Albuquerque, Steven Bolton and his wife Kim of Albuquerque, and their three children Bradley, Alex, and Harlow, and his daughter Lindsey Babington and her husband Dr. David Babington of Albuquerque, along with their children D.J. and Breck Stanley. He is also survived by his brother, Dr. Richard Bolton of Albuquerque.

In 1965, Stan founded Stan's Frozen Foods, which he grew into a multi-state corporation over the next five decades. His tireless dedication, entrepreneurial spirit, and commitment to those around him created not only a successful business but also provided support and opportunity for hundreds of families over the years. Stan's professional life was marked by strong relationships, integrity, and a remarkable work ethic.

Beyond his work, Stan was known for his zest for life and adventurous spirit. An adrenaline enthusiast, he loved jeeping, motorcycles, motorhoming with Karen, skiing both on the slopes and on the water, and later in life found joy in quieter pursuits such as building model boats, bike riding, and, most of all, golf. He was a passionate golfer who treasured his time with friends at the country club and was always striving to improve his handicap.

Stan also had a lifelong love for animals. Over the years, he and Karen shared their home with many beloved dogs, who were always an important part of their family. He delighted in their companionship, their loyalty, and the comfort they brought, spending countless hours in their company.

He was also a lifelong member of Rotary and a dedicated member of Immanuel Presbyterian Church, where he found strength, purpose, and community throughout his life.

He was known as a hardworking man who lived life to the fullest, embraced good times with friends, and deeply loved his family. Above all, Stan was endlessly grateful to Karen, whose devotion and care were his greatest blessings in his final years.

He will be remembered for his wisdom, generosity, adventurous spirit, and the immense love he shared with his family, friends, and community.

A service celebrating Stan's life will be held at Immanuel Presbyterian Church in Nob Hill on Friday, September 12, 2025, at 11:00 a.m.
