Spencer Luke Fox

Spencer Luke Fox, age 14, passed away on Saturday, February 22, 2020. He was a wonderful, smart, kind, caring boy, who loved to laugh, and he will be missed deeply by his friends and family. He was born and raised in Albuquerque. Sadly, Spencer was just starting out in life, and was just beginning to show his potential. He loved friends, school and school band, photography and hiking. He leaves behind his loving parents, Maria Dominguez and Bruce Fox, and his grandmother, Nancy Dominguez. He will be joining in heaven his grandparents, Edward and Pearl Fox and Alfredo Dominguez, Jr. He left behind not only his parents, but numerous uncles, aunts, and cousins and his loving godparents, Emeterio and Maria Rudolfo.

Maria, Bruce and Spencer loved to travel together. They went all over the U.S. and to the West Indies to see Spencer’s now-deceased grandmother Pearl’s birthplace in Dominica and also to Barbados. One of Spencer’s most enjoyable trips was to go with a school group to London, leaving his parents behind. Spencer learned a love of the world and began to show real independence.

Spencer’s parents want to thank all of Spencer’s educators, who were so devoted and put so much time into helping Spencer along. He spent his preschool years at Children’s House. He then spent his elementary school years at Cottonwood Montessori in Corrales, learning about friendship, respect, his ABC’s, and about the outdoors. His two middle school years were at LBJ Middle School. Especially this year in the 7th grade he developed some good friends and set an example of kindness, respect, hard work, and throughout it all a wonderful sense of humor. Spencer’s parents were very proud of his straight-A grades and most importantly for all of us, his getting LBJ’s “Character Counts” award. Spencer was a blessing to be with and we hope any who touched him will follow his example and try to be kind to each other when they move forward with their lives.

Services are open to all. A visitation will be held on Saturday, February 29, 2020, 10:00 a.m. followed by a Rosary at 10:30 a.m. with a Mass at 11:00 a.m. at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 12500 Carmel Ave. Burial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers please make a donation in honor of Spencer Luke Fox, to the Cottonwood School at 3896 Corrales Rd. NM 87048.
