Simon Orlando Garcia

Simon Orlando Garcia (Hef), December 13, 1946 - January 13, 2022. He was a Vietnam Veteran & life-long resident of Albuquerque, NM. He loved camping, hunting, and fishing with his family and friends, along with a splash of Jim Beam here and there.

He was preceded in death by his grandson, Joel Lee Padilla. Orlando is survived by his wife of 55 years, Petrita Garcia; daughter, Sharon Garcia; sons, Orlando Garcia, Jr. and wife, Rosalie, Vincent Garcia Sr., and Derek Garcia Sr.; sisters, Rose Marie Rivas, Bonnie Garcia, Margie Garcia, and Jeanette Archuleta; grandchildren, Freddie Padilla, Ashley Marquez, Jeremy Marquez, Ramon Chavez, Monique Chavez, Vincent Garcia, Jr., Serenity Garcia, Brandon Romero, Derek Garcia Jr., Nathan Garcia, and Lailah Garcia; and great-grandchildren, Isaac Sandoval, Heaven Padilla, Luna Padilla, Jennie Garcia, Brandon Romero Jr., Bradley Romero, and Derek Garcia III.

A Funeral Service will be held Monday, January 31, 2022, 12:00 p.m., at FRENCH- University. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. A Reception will follow at the Sherriff's Posse Arena, 10308 2nd St. NW. Burial will take place on Thursday, February 3, 2022, 10:30 a.m., at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
