Shelly Rae Sherman

Passed away Sunday, July 14, 2013. Shelly Sherman was an amazing, infuriating, wondrous, complicated, loving and incredible mom and nurse. When she was born on February 8, 1950, she didn't realize all the calamities and joys life would hold for her. She married H. Charles Bandy, who would be the father of her four treasured daughters Sarah, Danielle, Alissa, and Kindra. Though they divorced, they remained close and loving friends. She also was married to Myron B. Hawkins, whom she cared for very deeply. Coca Cola and Paul Simon music were her favorites. But there was nothing in the universe she loved more than her family and friends. Shelly was a devout Christian and she dedicated her life to helping others. In addition to her daughters, Shelly is also survived by her marvelous grandchildren, Reine, Cordell, Skye, Harrison, and CB. She is in heaven with Emma, Spencer, Grandpa Bandy, Grandma Hawkins, Grandma Sarah Aunt Peggy and Uncle Phil. Services will be held Friday, July 19, 2013, 11:00 a.m., at St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church, 601 Montano Rd. NW. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE.
