Our father, Shawn Edward David Fiske, born Saturday, October 22,1966, has gone to Heaven on, Wednesday, November 20, 2019.
Shawn was born in Des Plaines, IL and grew up in Wheeling IL. He served 6 years in the U.S Navy during Desert Storm. He was a First-Class Petty Officer (E6 Sonar Tech) and had the pleasure of seeing 5 continents in the service of our Country.
In 1999 he moved to Albuquerque, NM and there he remained until his death. He was a beloved member of the community. His entrepreneurial spirit was unmatched, and he was never idle between his work, family and hobbies which included woodworking, skiing, fishing, hunting and he was an accomplished martial artist having earned a second-degree black belt in the summer of 2018. He is quoted as saying, “I root for two teams: my beloved Chicago Bears and anyone that beats the Packers.”
Shawn is survived by three beautiful daughters, Kahlela, Kitiara (Jared), and Karyssa Fiske. Fiancée, Jodi Summers; his older brother, Chuck, niece, Anna, nephew, Danny; and his loving parents, Charles and Nancy Fiske; and ex-wife, Kathy.
Our father will be sorely missed by family and friends everywhere. He was full of great love, energy, he always helped anyone in need and saw every moment as a moment to learn or teach. He was a fervent follower of Jesus and shared both his biblical teaching skills and his excellent voice to the Church. In childhood he even sang with the Chicago Lyric Opera during the World Premier of the “Paradise Lost”
