Shannon Beard

It is with great sadness and broken hearts that we, the family of Shannon Ortiz- Beard announce her passing on Tuesday, September 26, 2023.

She is survived by her sons, Ryan Feeley and Michael Woods; her parents Art and Sylvia Ortiz; sister Kristine; nieces Shaela Perez and Mikaela Jones; her brother Steve; husband Henry Beard; Godmother Theresa Martinez, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Shannon has been in the legal field since 1992. She earned her Bachelor's of Science Degree in Applied Science and was one semester away from receiving her Masters Degree in Buisness. She was the owner of her own business. The business' name is Legal EZ, providing legal ease for the lay mind, proving documents so her clients can represent themselves.

Shannon was a beautiful child of God who was proud to say that our Lord had gotten her through every dark moment and struggle. Shannon was a very strong, independent single mother, a woman's advocate; not only a women's advocate but in general an advocate for anyone that came to her in need of direction.

She would use her blessing from God to help anyone, and she didn't judge anyone. She didn't care if someone was rich or poor, homeless or housed. If she could support someone in any way she would, leaving all the glory to God. Shannon Marie Ortiz- Beard will be honored by her two boys, Ryan and Michael. Always remembered by freinds and family. In her memory, all that knew her should allow her mission to live on by coming together as people and always keeping faith in God. She would want to see you do your best every day to make a better difference in this world. Shannon Marie is loved dearly and will be forever missed.

 On Tuesday, October 10, 2023 there will be a Rosary from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at FRENCH- Lomas. On Wednesday, October 11, 2023, there will be a Funeral Service at Sagebrush Community Church, 7500 Montgomery Blvd NE at 11:00 a.m. From there the family will go to Mount Calvary for the Graveside Service at 12:45 p.m.
