Shane Elan Victor Scott

Shane Elan Victor Scott, 31, of Rio Rancho, passed away on May 9, 2026.

Born on May 4, 1995, Shane lived life with humor, heart, and just the right amount of chaos. He had a way of making people laugh when they needed it most and could turn even the most ordinary moment into a story worth retelling. Whether he was joking around, giving someone a hard time out of love, or finding a reason to smile during difficult days, Shane left a lasting impression on everyone lucky enough to know him.

Above all else, Shane was an amazing father who loved his daughter deeply. He is survived by his daughter, Elana Scott (Andrea Rodriguez); his mother, Shannon Doughty; his sister, Brittany Scott; and his brother, Skyler Scott. He also leaves behind many extended family members, friends, and loved ones who will deeply miss his laugh, his personality, and the light he brought into every room.

Shane was the kind of person who reminded everyone not to take life too seriously. While our hearts are heavy, we know he would want us sharing stories, laughing loudly, and remembering the good times together.

His memory will live on in every inside joke, every song turned up too loud, and every moment of laughter shared among those who loved him.
