Sari Krolik

April 22, 1943 — June 14, 2025

Sari Ann Krolik, born on April 22, 1944, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, gracefully departed this world on June 13, 2025, at the age of 81. Sari's life was a tapestry woven with vibrant threads of dedication, warmth, and joy that she generously shared with everyone she encountered.

Sari spent nearly three decades shaping young minds as a devoted teacher in the Albuquerque public schools. Her passion for education left an indelible mark on hundreds of children, fostering a love for learning that transcended generations. After retiring from teaching, Sari embarked on a career in real estate, where she continued to build connections and friendships, leaving an impact on the community she loved so dearly. Committed deeply to community service, Sari volunteered as a caretaker through B'nai Israel Congregation and lovingly read to young children at the public library.

An eternal optimist, Sari always saw the glass as half full, infusing her days with positivity and boundless energy. Her love for games was legendary-whether it was Mahjong, bridge, or dominoes, she approached each with enthusiasm and a competitive spirit. Even at 81, Sari was always ready for a game night or a spontaneous trip to the casino.

Above all, Sari was a devoted mother and grandmother, whose heart belonged to her family. Her grandsons were the center of her universe, and she cherished every moment spent with them.

Sari is survived by her loving daughter and son-in-law, Deb and Shane Woods; and her two grandsons, Ashton and Brayden Woods. She is also survived by her sister, Sandra Kaplan and husband, Harry; her brother, Mike Berg and wife, Pam; her nephew, Mark Berg and wife, Shirley; many loving nieces and nephews; and countless friends who she loved dearly. She was preceded in death by her son, Jeff Krolik; brother, Joseph Berg; and parents, Harold and Betty Berg.

Her vibrant spirit, recognizable voice, and radiant smile will be profoundly missed by all who knew her.

A celebration of Sari's life will take place with a graveside service officiated by Rabbi Angress at Fairview Memorial Park Cemetery, 700 Yale Blvd. SE on Thursday June 19, 2025, 11:00 a.m. A reception will follow at the Albuquerque Country Club. Friends and family are invited to celebrate Sari's rich and meaningful life. In lieu of flowers, please donate to aldconnect.org. An organization near and dear to her heart.
