Sarah Elizabeth Lewis (Johnson): fondly known as Grannie, Mom, Nana, Aunt Liz, Sally and whatever else Grandpa (Hoyt) decided fit the moment. She was one of a kind, possessing southern charm with a rather big splash of runway class. If you knew her, you were her friend. SO many friends. Beauty, she was beauty, and she made everything beautiful. Not one of us could ever dress in her duds of choice and pull it off. All purchased at her ‘favorite store’, (which means Thrift), but she always looked like diamonds in the perfect setting, elegant and put together. She just had a way of creating beauty out of the ordinary. Ordinary people, like me, were made to feel super special because of the love she poured out. You’d never doubt her love for you, because she poured that doting love out as heavily as she wore her fragrances. She loved her people, and she had lots. We’re all hurting today because of our loss, but if we know anything at all, she LOVED us & was ready and willing to go and that brings comfort. It’s not how I expected, but it’s reality and she always made reality beautiful. We will always love you Grannie!
