Sara Jones

January 26, 1977 — April 20, 2025

Sara L. (Shulaw) Jones, 48, beloved Spouse, Mother, Daughter, and Sister, was called to her eternal resting place on April 20, 2025. She entered this world on January 26, 1977 in Rockledge, FL into the loving arms of Paul and Janice Shulaw.

Sara is survived by her husband David; daughters Maragaret, Katherine, and Samantha; father Paul Shulaw; and mother Janice (O'Hara) Shulaw. She was preceded in death by her grandparents and beloved big sister Janel.

She was a happy homemaker, immensely and fully proud of her daughters. She enjoyed reveling in the milestones and frustrations that come with raising children. An avid reader, a good evening for Sara was sitting on the couch deep into a book with David sitting on the opposite end not talking and deep into his own book. She instilled the passion for reading into her daughters and we almost never left the bookstore without books for everyone.

A military dependent daughter, Sara made the decision, albeit crazy, to marry into another military family. Following her husband throughout his military career, she lived all over the United States and Okinawa, Japan. Sara was a quiet and private person except for the precious few who she let in but gladly supported those around her that she met along the way. The friends she made on those adventures, she made for life. Sara was a rock for everyone, family, friends, and acquaintances. This reflects greatly in her upbringing, her desire to support others, and the love she exhibited to all.

Please remember Sara as someone who blessed us with love, her smiles, the unwavering support, quiet determination, and how full of life she was. Give your families a hug and remind them that you love them as many times as you are able.

Sara will be interred at the United States Air Force Academy cemetery on June 9, 2025. In lieu of flowers please send donations to Operation Smile, the American Cancer Society, or your local animal shelter.
