Samuel E. Dillow, Jr.

Samuel E. Dillow, Jr., "Sam or S.E. to family", a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many passed away peacefully on September 18, 2026 at the age of 95.

Sam was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Joan Dillow, and sons, Steven Dillow and Larry Dillow. Sam is survived by his daughter, Lisa Stewart and husband, Michael; his grandchildren, Christine Stewart, Kyle Stewart and wife, Sierra; nephews Donald Goldston and wife, Vicky, Gordon Goldston, and niece, Linda Pacheco.

Sam was born on February 28, 1931 in Gruver, Texas, and raised in Las Animas, Colorado where he met and married the love of his life, Wilma Joan Dillow, his high school sweetheart. He joined the Air Force and upon completion of service began a career with the Federal Aviation Administration in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He retired at the age of 50 allowing him time to enjoy numerous sporting activities including softball, golf, fishing, and hunting.

In memory of Sam, the family invites you to celebrate his life on Wednesday, October 14, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at St. John's United Methodist Church, 2626 Arizona St. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens at 12:00 p.m.
