SALLY JANE RITTSAge 75, a resident of Albuquerque since 1977, passed away into our heavenly Father's hands on Monday, June 18, 2012. She was born on March 23, 1937 in Franklin, PA. Sally is survived by her husband, John; son, Michael Taylor and wife, Sharon of Albuquerque; step-daughter, Julie Rael and husband, Louis of Flower Mound, TX; and step-son, Cliff Ritts of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Shane Taylor, Christina Rael and Daniel Rael; sister-in-law, Nancy McMillin and husband, Bill of Dallas, TX; two half-sisters; and a half-brother. Sally was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Marian Shannon; and her father, Harry. Sally was a wonderful, loving and thoughtful daughter, wife and mother. She was a dear family member and friend to many others as well. Sally always maintained a warm smile and cheerful sense of humor. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. After graduating from Oil City (PA) High School in 1955, Sally worked as a Secretary for Pennzoil and later at Barr's Insurance and Real Estate in Oil City. Upon re-marrying and moving to Albuquerque, she continued her career in the insurance field working for several firms, most recently with Keenan and Associates. Sally was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church. A private, memorial gathering for Sally will be held in Albuquerque. Following cremation, interment will take place at Rynd Farm Cemetery, near Oil City, PA. In lieu of flowers, donations to Animal Humane / New Mexico, 615 Virginia St. SE, Albuquerque, NM, 87108 on Sally's behalf will be greatly appreciated as she loved her pets and other animals so much.
