Rudolph Barrymore Neckles, a cherished father, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 5, 2026, at the age of 97. He was born on June 20, 1929, in Cuba to Leopold Neckles and Madeline Skinner. As a young child he lived in Jamaica until his early twenties when he moved to New York to further his education and to gain employment. There he met and married his beloved wife Mildred in 1957.
Rudolph began his career working for a pharmaceutical company for several years then moved on to Pan American World Airways as a fleet manager for 22 years which afforded him the opportunity to travel the world with his wife and children. At the same period his entrepreneurial spirit shone through as he opened an employment agency that catered to immigration needs, offering support to countless individuals seeking a new beginning. After retiring from the airlines, he transitioned to Albuquerque where he opened and operated a successful screen-printing company that produced signs for businesses in Albuquerque and the surrounding areas.
A man of faith, Rudolph was actively involved in his church where he shared his voice as a choir member and served as an usher. His nurturing spirit and wisdom extended beyond his family as he became a mentor to friends and loved ones, offering guidance and encouragement to all who sought his counsel.
Throughout his life, Rudolph touched many hearts and his legacy of kindness will endure. He was preceded in death by his parents Leopold Neckles and Madeline Skinner Neckles; his wife Mildred Neckles; and son Kevin Neckles. He is survived by his daughter Michelle Granberry; son-in-law Gary Granberry; son Shelton Neckles; sisters Shirley Neckles and Leone Neckles; and a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
His remains will be cremated with a memorial service taking place at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date.
