Ruby Wormington, 94, a dedicated mother and grandmother passed away on Saturday, June 13, 2026.

Ruby's story began on a farm in Missouri where she was born on Wednesday, June 17, 1931. Growing up on a dairy farm taught her lessons that stayed with her throughout her entire life. She learned the value of hard work, responsibility, perseverance, and making do with what you had. Farm life isn't easy, but it gave her a strong foundation and helped shape the woman we all knew and loved. Those values followed her wherever life took her, and she passed them on to her family every day.

Ruby had many talents and hobbies. She loved to sew, quilt, crochet, garden, cook, and play cards. If she loved you, chances are she made something for you with her hands. A quilt, a crocheted gift, a homemade meal, or a batch of cookies-her love was often expressed through the things she created.

Ruby was a deeply spiritual person and trusted everything to God and that he has a plan for all of us. She trusted that everything happened for a reason and that everything would work out for the best. They were simple statements of faith that guided her through both good times and difficult ones.

While we grieve her loss, we also celebrate a life well lived. We celebrate a farm girl from Missouri who became a devoted mother, a loving grandmother, a loyal friend, and an example of kindness and hard work to everyone who knew her.

Ruby is preceded in death by her husband, Elburn Lee Wormington and her second husband, Delmer Clem. She is survived by her children: Brenda, Lea Ann, Diane, and Mark. She was blessed to have 6 grandchildren and 7 great- grandchildren.
