Roy Frederic Lund "RoyBoy"

December 8, 1950 — April 3, 2024

Roy Lund, 73, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, with family at his bedside.

Roy was born December 8, 1950 in Preston, England to Jack and Connie Lund. He spent his childhood in Leyland and moved to California in 1979. Roy, a highly regarded Engineer (aka Job Shopper) in the Aerospace Industry, worked in 10 different countries on 15 different programs.  He had stories of all his travels and enjoyed sharing them with his family and friends. He was a well-liked, gregarious man with a strong work ethic. Roy didn't know a stranger and if you were blessed to know him even for a second, you'd love him.

Roy was a talented singer and was the front man for the Dive Zealots, a cover band in the 1980's. After moving to Arizona, he formed a new band called Lost European and was signed to a record contract with Gemini Records. In 1990, he was a founding member and President of the Exzel Music Co, He sang and wrote many songs while releasing multiple CDs including 2 Lost European albums, The Job Shopper Album and The Lemming Shepherds children's CD-ROM storybook. As a member of Lost European, Roy appeared on ABC's 'In Concert' singing with Woodstock star Richie Havens and also sang on Chinese television during his time in Shanghai.

Roy met his wife of 26 years, Bernice Jauriqui in the early 1990's. They shared a passion for travel, warm beaches, and skydiving.

Roy was a lifelong Manchester United fan with a legendary passion for watching his team play. The Raiders were his American football team, and he was just as passionate while cheering them on.

Roy considered himself a "Jauriqui", and he was without a doubt. His love for his family was one of a kind, he chose them all with all his heart, every day. "Loving you" will be etched in our hearts forever.  "Familia es Todo".

Roy was preceded in death by his father Jack, his mother Connie, and his daughter Katherine.

He is survived by his wife Bernice, son Frazer, mother-in-law Belinda (Cecilio), sister-in-law Eva, brother-in-law Eloy (Andreanna), brother-in-law Manuel (Jamie), sister-in-law Melinda (Tim), 22 nieces and nephews and 18 grand nieces and nephews.
