Rowena Mae (Masters) Anderson

Rowena Anderson, 94, passed from this life to the next on Friday, January 28, 2022 in Albuquerque. She is survived by her son, Bryan Anderson and wife Patricia of Tijeras, NM; grandchildren, Joshua Anderson and wife Sara of Albuquerque, NM, Erin Hughes, husband Mark and great-grand daughter Hannah of Albuquerque, Stephen Anderson of Albuquerque and Rebekah Patton and husband Christopher of Colorado Springs, CO. She is also survived by many friends and extended family members.

Rowena was preceded in death by her devoted husband Franklin and her four sisters.

Born and raised on a farm in southeast Colorado, Rowena was a farm girl through and through. She was an accomplished musician, playing piano and organ for her church and giving lessons. The Andersons moved to Farmington, NM in 1960 where Rowena became one of the first women in the state to receive a Real Estate Broker license. She and Franklin operated Anderson Agency for many years.

Much of Rowena’s time was given to the Gideon’s Auxiliary of which she was a member for over 40 years. She loved the Lord, her family and her friends. The family will hold a private farewell service to celebrate a life well lived.
