Rosemary (Tapia) DeYoung

Rosemary T. DeYoung, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away peacefully in her home in Albuquerque, New Mexico on July 29, 2023, at the age of 72. She fought a long and courageous battle with cancer, demonstrating immense strength and resilience throughout.

Rosemary was born on January 12, 1951, in San Miguel, New Mexico, and spent her life in Albuquerque, where she touched the hearts of all who knew her. She was a remarkable woman, known for her kindness, compassion, and unwavering devotion to her family.

Rosemary's greatest joy in life was being a mother to her three boys, David (Amanda), Michael (Monica), and Stephen (Hannah).

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lance; her parents, Fidencio and Delfina; brothers Mike and Max; sisters Alice and Margaret.

She is survived by her loving brothers, David, and Gilbert.

Rosemary's legacy extends to her five cherished grandchildren, Noah, Bella, Ava, Jonah, and Sadie, who were the light of her life. She embraced her role as a grandmother with immense joy and took great pride in watching them grow. Her gentle spirit and warm heart will forever be remembered by her grandchildren.

Friends and family may visit FRENCH-Wyoming from 5:00-8:00pm on Thursday, August 10, 2023. A rosary will be recited at 9:30am, followed by mass at 10:00am on Friday, August 11, 2023, at Risen Savior Catholic Church, 7701 Wyoming Blvd NE. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 7999 Wyoming Blvd NE. A reception will be held to honor Rosemary's life and provide an opportunity for friends and family to offer condolences and support at FRENCH-Wyoming.

Rosemary T. DeYoung will forever be remembered for her unwavering love, gentle nature, and the profound impact she made on the lives of her family and friends. She will be deeply missed, and her memory will be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
