Rosemary Atencio

Rosemary Atencio was born on September 6, 1953 in Los Angeles, California. My California girl went to heaven to be with her parents and our son, Ramon, on Monday, October 5, 2020.

Roemary was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and daughter. She made many hard decisions regarding our family and siblings. Rosemary worked as an employee of the City of Albuquerque throughout our marriage while also raising our sons. She was a dedicated and outstanding woman.

Rosemary is survived by her husband of 46 years, Frank Atencio; her son, Tomas and wife, Janelle Atencio; her six grandchildren, Ramon Jr., Tomas Jr., Isaiah, Monique, Ethan, and Josiah; her sisters, Linda and husband, Albert Baca, Gloria Chavez, and Susie Shanchez. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, especially Tommy, Manny, and Leroy.

Rosemary is preceded in death by her parents, Oralia and Manuel Sanchez (big mama and big daddy); son, Ramon Atencio; and her two brothers, Manuel and Raymond Sanchez.

Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, October 15, 2020, 9:00 a.m., at Holy Family Catholic Church, 562 Atrisco Dr. SW, followed by a Graveside Service at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
