Rose Valdez

Rose M. Valdez, 94, resident of Albuquerque, passed away Thursday, March 22, 2018. She was preceded in death by her husband, of 65 years Pete E. Valdez. She is survived by sons, Vince Valdez and wife, Annabelle, Fred Valdez and wife, Susan; daughter, Valerie Medina and husband, Jose; grandchildren, Lynnette Valdez, Elizabeth, Justinano and husband, Tony, Gabrielle Valdez, Dominic Valdez and wife, Tanyia, Christopher Valdez, Jennifer Valdez, Marie Valdez Arrieta, Sarah Valdez and husband, Diego Montoya; great-grandchildren, Jasmine, Danielle, Samantha, Dylan, Marissa, and Jayden Valdez, Amber Escamilla, Tamara and Kevin Martinez, Ethan Deetz Valdez, Kayla Montoya, Diego Arrieta and Brenden and Marcus Justinano; great-grandchild, Samuel Munoz; and many nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Macedonia Montano; siblings, Richard and wife, Ida, Ben and wife, Adelina Montano, Jane and husband, Richard Frank, Margaret and husband, Roy Roybal, Louie Montano, Joe Montano, Macendonia Sekot, and Mary Jo Sanchez. Rose was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. Rose was very proud of her family, and will be greatly missed by family and friends.

Mass of Christian burial and Rosary will be held Friday, April 6, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 619 Copper Ave NW.  Interment of cremated remains will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 1:30 p.m.
