Rose Lopez

Rose Lopez, age 97, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, our family's rock, passed away Saturday, November 16, 2024. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother with a strong faith who had wit and humor. An independent lady that had open arms and a large heart for all. She loved cooking and caring for others. Throughout her life she cared for those who could not care for themselves, whether family or friend. She loved participating in rosary rallies and prayer meetings. Mom worked at the church for many years. She helped raise many of her grand and great-grandkids. Her strong faith gave her a long life of always seeing only good in everyone. Her go to for advice was "pray for them." She always welcomed you with a cup of coffee and a warm smile. Rose loved attending to her birds and sitting in the sun.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Crecencio Lopez; sons, John, Ernie, Arthur, Mikie, Steve, Rick, Frank, John Christopher; grandson, Frank; granddaughter, Carol Lopez; as well as her parents and siblings.

Rose leaves behind her daughters, Irene Torrez (Larry), Marie Garcia (Randy), Lorraine Griner (Andy), Renee Lopez, and Barbara Lucero (Allen); 70 grandchildren; 60 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

A Rosary will be recited Thursday, November 21, 2024, 7:00 p.m., at San Felipe De Neri Parish, 2005 N. Plaza St. NW. Mass will be Celebrated Friday, November 22, 2024, 10:30 a.m., also at San Felipe. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary. All spiritual services will be conducted by Father Dennis Garcia, who our mother claimed as a son.

Pallbearers

Ernie Lopez, Lawerence Torrez, Stevie Lopez, Kevin Griner, Jacob Graston, and Christopher Lopez will hold the honor of carrying their grandmother to her final resting place.

Honorary Pallbearers

Johnathan Garcia, Aiden Chacon, Paul Lopez, and Bobby Lopez will aid in spirit with the carrying of their grandmother.
