Rosanne DiSanti, at age 67, passed away peacefully on January 17, 2026, surrounded by family and under doctor's care after bravely battling a devastating illness. Rosanne was born in Pueblo, Colorado to parents, John and Patty DiSanti who preceded her in passing. She was the youngest of six children. Her oldest brother Rocky passed in 2012. Her sister-in-law, Deborah, passed in 2022. She is survived by four siblings and their (spouses): David, Lesley (Tim) Haney, Danny (Trisha) DiSanti, and Vickie (Rich) Roberston. Rosanne is also survived by 3 generations of nieces, nephews and their spouses (33 total) who she completely adored, plus numerous beloved cousins and friends.
Rosanne was known by variations of her name, including Rose, Rosie, Miss Rosie, Rosalee etc. The earliest name variation was Sanna, which was used from her infancy. Her early life was extremely challenging, as she was born with an often fatal birth defect (spina-bifada), and a short life expectancy prognosis. Sanna beat the odds with her will and the determination and actions of her mother leading the way, as she had great medical and other help from the Shriners, especially the Children's Hospital in Salt Lake City. Rosanne was "one tough cookie" and survived to lead an extraordinary life.
Rosie had a great sense of humor and quick wit. Her favorite TV comedies included "I Love Lucy" and various Marx Brothers and Three Stooges shows, because she loved slapstick. These shows led to hearing her contagious laugh, which definitely got everyone else to join-in with their laughter.
Rose's family moved to Albuquerque in 1959 and she was a lifetime resident in New Mexico, where she became skilled in arts and crafts at an early age. She enjoyed coloring books and painting. Rosie also became expert in beadwork and created numerous beaded jewelry items, often using the smallest imaginable beads for necklaces. Her artwork became gifts for family and friends, which demonstrated her kindness throughout a lifetime of giving and caring.
Rose had a great love of music and attended many concerts. Some of her favorite artists include Elvis, Tom Jones, Eddie Rabbit, The Oak Ridge Boys, Billy Ray Cyrus and Alabama. The artists also liked Rosie. She met several of them and had photo ops with some (e.g. Billy Ray, Alabama) because she often talked her way into backstage visits. Rosie collected memorabilia and (for example) has a very nice Elvis souvenir collection.
Rose's giving nature led her to volunteer for charitable events such as providing backpacks loaded with school supplies to school children. Rosie also supported the annual Manzano High School Tribute Scholarship Golf Tournament, for many years, by providing help in creating and supplying gift bags for golfers.
Roseanne always remembered and celebrated her family and friends' birthdays, anniversaries, graduations and other important Life events. She was the go-to person, if information was needed and indeed, Rosie reminded family of important events. Of course, these important events were celebrated with gifts and cards. Rosie kept in-touch with everyone via text, phone-calls, mail, email, and video calls. She genuinely cared about everyone and her gifts were always thoughtful and many times made by herself.
Rose's most recent endeavor in the art world was her mastery of diamond art. She became expert at her new craft in recent years, as evidenced by numerous gifts such as 2025's Christmas gifting of diamond art coasters to family and friends. Rosie's favorite color is purple, and she used purple in much of her artwork over the years.
Rose, truly led a remarkable life. We celebrate her: She was a nice person and role model. We also celebrate her contribution to numerous family events: Food she provided, such as the 'best deviled eggs ever; and anchovy rolls (or green chile rolls if you don't like anchovies) plus various types of delicious cookies will never be forgotten.
Aunt Rosie was probably the variation of her name she liked the most because she simply adored ALL of her nieces, nephews and their spouses, children and grandchildren. Aunt Rosie always kept in-touch and celebrated birthdays, graduations, anniversaries, births, new arrivals to family, daily life, etc. Aunt Rosie knew how to celebrate life, as she taught us all.
Aunt Rosie's celebrating and staying in-touch with people extended to cousins, other family and friends, who were essentially celebrated the same as her nieces and nephews.
Rose's deeds and actions made those around her better people. Rosalee was very grateful for all the help she received: Throughout the years, Rosalee required health care and assistance with daily living and she most assuredly would thank her care providers, as she always did. Most notably, she lived her later years with her sister Vickie and brother-in-law Rich, who were an immense part of her life success. Notably, Maureen Thomson friend and superb healthcare provider was also instrumental in Rosie's (daily and long term) success.
We celebrate "one tough cookie", who is a truly spectacular and courageous daughter, niece, sister, Aunt, cousin and friend: Rose led a stellar, shining, exceptional, caring, giving, fun, meaningful, artful life, filled with celebration.
