Ronald Fred Mershon

Ron Mershon, 84, a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, was called to his eternal resting place on Tuesday, October 20, 2026. He entered this world on Monday, August 31, 1942, in Hermosa Beach, CA, born to Erin and Fred Mershon.

Ron was married to Judy in August 1962 in Clovis, NM. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife in April 2025. He is survived by his daughter, Denise Olson, and her husband, Mike; his son, Gregory Mershon, and his wife, Fran; his grandson, Anders Olson; his granddaughter, Maren Sage, and her husband, Christopher; his grandson, Alex Mershon; and his granddaughter, Maiya Mershon.

Ron played football for the University of New Mexico (UNM), proudly served in the U.S. Air Force, and worked in senior management at Public Service Company of New Mexico (PNM). He loved spending time in Chama, NM, and took great joy in home improvement projects, watching football, traveling, and, most of all, being with his family and friends.
