Rogeria Romero

Rogeria (Roger, Romie) Romero, age 99, passed away on November 21, 2023 at home surrounded by her family.

She is survived by her daughter Evelyn Duran, daughter-in-law Marcella Romero, ten grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carlos Romero Jr., son, George Romero; daughter, Betty Ann Romero Martinez; and son-in-law, Larry Duran.

Rogeria attended Harwood Boarding School and retired from UNM in 1988. She was an amazing baker, loved coloring, puzzle books, sewing, and arts and crafts.

She had over 30 godchildren.

Services will be held on Tuesday, December 12th at St. Jude Thaddeus Church. Rosary will begin at 9:30 a.m., followed by mass at 10:30 and burial in Santa Fe National Cemetary 1:00 p.m.
