Robin H. Sandler

April 24, 1957 — May 25, 2025

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Robin H. Sandler, who left us on May 25, 2025, at the age of 68. Robin was taken away from us way too soon. Robin touched the hearts and lives of many.

She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother whose wisdom and kind heart held her family together through both joy and sorrow.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Patti K. Holland; her mother, Lela F. Holland; Her father Joseph A. Holland. She is survived by her sole mate, Michael Sandler; her loving daughters, Holly Silva and Brandy Silva. She leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, Brody Fico and Kassius Fico. her sisters, Jo Helen Cason, (Kenneth), nieces, Dusti L. Falcon and Catlin K. Cason, nephew Joe Don Autrey; Sister, Betty A. Pohl, (David); Step-daughters, Erica Baca and Stephanie Montano; and many extended family members and friends who will forever remember her grace, strength, and unconditional love.

She brought light to those around her with her calm presence, sharp wit, infectious smile and deep compassion. Robin loved spending time at casinos, here locally and in Las Vegas. Her home was always a welcome place, filled with warmth and laughter.

Robin loved to help people. In her career with the City of Albuquerque and PMS (Presbyterian Medical Services) Robin helped hundreds of people. Robin has helped collect and distribute Toys for Tots, raised money for Walk for Hunger, this is a benefit for the Roadrunner Food Bank, she has been active in the Girl Scouts and served on the Inez Elementary school PTA. Her full time job with Los Griegos Center for Family and community Service is geared toward helping others. Robin counseled clients who were attempting to become independent, helping them get health and social services as well as locate furniture, clothing and financial assistance for housing and utilities.

Robin's passion was bowling! Robin helped raise money at Leisure Bowl and Silva Lanes to help coordinate trips to send youth bowlers to bowling tournaments. Robin began using bowling to reach young people and teach them important life lessons after she saw how it positively affected her own children. Brandy started bowling at 6, and Holly started bowling at 9 years of age. Robin always tried to be a good role model, not just for her children, but for the youth bowlers.

Robin wanted to show the youth bowlers that volunteering your time is important. They can go out and do things for other people without getting paid and without expecting something in return. Robin always said the reward comes from touching the lives of others and somehow playing a part in making their lives better. In return it will make you a better person.

Robin will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know her. Her memory will live on in the hearts and souls of her family and friends.
