Robert W. Johnson (Bob) of Albuquerque, passed away on Thursday, January 31, 2019 peacefully at the VA Hospital.
Bob was born Tuesday, June 29, 1926 in Minneapolis, MN to Selma Johnson and Victor Peterson.
Bob and Selma moved to Maddock ND where he was raised on the family farm. Bob farmed until he left to proudly serve his country as an Air Force Medic in the Korean war. After returning from the war in 1954, he continued to farm and fly until he became a Journeyman Electrician and moved to Albuquerque, NM in 1972.
On November 17, 1974, he married Patsy and her four children. Bob worked as an electrician for McDonald Electric. He enjoyed a wonderful career with Clyde McDonald and the McDonald family until his retirement at age 70.
Bob was proceeded in death by his mother, Selma Johnson, and her husband, Lawrence Johnson; step-son, Michael Adkison; and a grandson, Robert Carter.
He is survived by his wife, Patsy; three step-daughters and their husbands, Sherry and Louis Abraham, Sharon and John Riccon, Carol and Jimmy Perez; daughter-in-law, Vivian Adkison, nine grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
Bob was best known for his love of cookies, great stories and the never-ending love that he had for his wife, Patsy.
A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, February 8, 2019, 3:00 p.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery, and a Memorial Service will be held, Saturday, February 9, 2019, 3:00 p.m., at Moriarty Church of Christ.
