Robert Tallman

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Robert Hugh Tallman, affectionately known as "Bueno," who left us on May 22, 2025, at the age of 80. Robert was born on March 8, 1945, and lived a fulfilling life in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where he touched the hearts of many.

A dedicated studio camera operator at KOAT TV Channel 7, Robert was known for his passionate commitment to his craft and his ability to bring stories to life through his lens. His contributions to local journalism will be remembered for years to come.

Robert's interests extended beyond the television studio; he was a devoted relic hunter and metal detector enthusiast, always searching for pieces of history that resonated with his passion for the past, especially his love for the Civil War. His enthusiasm for history was matched only by the camaraderie he shared with his brothers, Richard and Gary Tallman, who will forever cherish the memories of their time spent together.

Robert proudly served in the United States Navy for four years, a commitment that shaped his character and instilled in him a strong sense of duty and honor. His military service remains a vital part of his legacy.

A graveside service to honor Robert's life will be held at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery on May 30, 2025, at 12:30 PM. Prior to the graveside service, a funeral service will take place at the University Chapel at 11:00 AM, allowing family and friends the opportunity to come together, share memories, and celebrate the remarkable life of a beloved brother, friend, and community member.

Robert leaves behind a lasting legacy that will be felt in the hearts and minds of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten. May he rest in peace.
