Robert Gene Reed

Robert (Bob) Reed, 92, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle was called to his eternal resting place on Monday, July 3, 2023. He entered this world on Thursday, October 16, 1930, in Denver, Colorado, born to Orvil and Cleo Mardell Reed. He is survived by his wife Rebecca Reed; children Adam Reed, wife Janine, Baron Reed, wife Jennifer, and Cara Pilgreen, husband Scott; grandchildren Aidan Reed, Nolan Reed, Sydney Reed, Isabella Reed, Catherine Reed, Cale Pilgreen, Connor Pilgreen, and Caeden Pilgreen; brother Richard Reed; nephews David Reed, David Martinez, and Daniel Peters; nieces Linda Glaw and Shawna Stevens; as well as by many cousins, grandnephews, and grandnieces. Bob attended UNM and later served in the Air Force for two years. He worked for the federal government for 29 years before enjoying a long retirement filled with family events and responsibilities. Bob's work with the Bureau of Land Management allowed him to spend long periods of time outdoors, a place he greatly enjoyed. Bob was the rock upon which his loving family was built and flourished. He was known as a strong and caring person who would stop at nothing to help others, particularly his family, friends, and neighbors. A Memorial Service will be held at San Ysidro Catholic Church in Corrales, NM, 5015 Corrales Rd, on Friday July 14, 2023. Rosary at 9:30 a.m. with Mass at 10:00 a.m.
