Robert L. "Bob" Mannel

July 14, 1932 — May 29, 2016

Faith became sight as Bob Mannel, 83, entered into the presence of his beloved Savior Jesus on May 29, 2016 in Rio Rancho, NM. Born in 1932, he came to faith later in his life; however, the faith he received was whole-hearted!
Bob was born and raised in Vallejo, California. He worked in the shipyards as a welder on Navy submarines and then went into banking while working his way through college.
In 1980, Bob moved to Albuquerque, where he met his beloved Joy through a singles ad in the paper, and together they made a wonderful marriage. After several years as a bank examiner, Bob and Joy began a real estate appraisal business. It was during this time the couple came to a saving faith in Jesus Christ and began to walk with Him. Bob was extremely grateful for God's forgiveness and grace!
He was very involved with his church family and we are thankful for the support of Albuquerque's First Baptist Church for their prayers and visits. As his vision failed, he never tired of listening to the Bible on tape and was grateful for the NM Library for the Blind.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Joy. Also surviving him are his daughter, Danita Meier, step-sons John Woffard (wife Sandy) and David Woffard (wife Donna); grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and puppies Ginger and Pepé.
A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, June 2, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Albuquerque's First Baptist Church, 4101 Paseo Del Norte NW.
