Robert Maes, 81, A dedicated family man and a pillar of strength, perseverance and kindness passed away on December 1, 2024. Robert was known for his helpful and giving nature. He was compassionate and genuine to everyone who came into his life. He lived with a Can-do, get it done right the first-time type of attitude.

He is survived by his wife, Lucy Maes. His son Robert Maes and wife, Mariaelena Maes, his daughter Cristal Maes. His grandchildren Matthew Davis, Dominika Maes, Arianna Maes, Luciano Maes, Ylianna Maes, Abram Maes, his siblings Dolores Martinez (Arthur Martinez), Mable Cantrell (Don Cantrell), Leo Maes (Barbara Maes) and numerous cherished aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He touched the lives of many others as well throughout his life. He is preceded in death by his parents Elias and Mary Maes, his stepson Eric Lucero and brother Dennis Maes. A visitation and rosary will be held Thursday, December 12, 2024, at 4:00PM. Located at 1275 Unser Blvd., Rio Rancho, NM 87114. Refreshments to follow.
