Robert Otto Herrington

Robert O. Herrington, age 88, passed away on Friday March 23, 2018 at his home. He will always be remembered for his wink and his grin. He served proudly in the U.S. Army for 23 years attending the rank of Chief Warrant Officer and devoted the next 19 years to being the best service technician Sears ever had. His remaining 27 years in retirement were shared with his two great loves, golf and his family.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, James and Margaret Herrington; six brothers and sisters and his wife of 54 years, Ursel B. Herrington. He is survived by his two sisters, Evelyn Mahlin of Fairbury, Nebraska and Margaret Ann Zimmerman of Harrison, Nebraska; his three sons, Patrick of Albuquerque, William (and wife, Pam) of Carthage, Missouri, and Bob (and wife, Kathryn) of Albuquerque. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.

Cremation has already taken place in accordance with Robert’s wishes. Visitation will be on Friday, April 27, 2018 at 8:30 a.m. with service to follow at 9:30 a.m. at FRENCH – University in Albuquerque. Private interment will be at Santa Fe National Cemetery later that day.
