Robert Bartlett Gilchrist

Robert Bartlett Gilchrist, age 79, passed away on May 20, 2026. Bob lived most of his adult life in Albuquerque, NM, born on October 22, 1946. A Celebration of Life gathering will be held at a later date.

Bob graduated from Artesia High School in 1964 where he was active in sports. Bob then graduated from UNM and was a loyal fan of Lobo Basketball and Golf. He dedicated himself to playing the sport of golf, where he was very proficient. He also loved going to the cabin, trout fishing, and being with family and friends. Bob was the owner of REMCO Bolts in Albuquerque.

Bob was preceded in death by his son Tanner James Gilchrist, who he dearly loved, his parents and one sister, Sue Troublefield. Bob is survived by his loving Life Partner, Nancy L. Smart with Jeff and Brad. Other surviving family members include Mark and Barbara Webb, with sons Jason and Jarrett: Mark and Dana Sparks with Ian, Suzette and Kaci; Reese and Susan Troublefield with Nicole and Jena; Bob and Laurie Shoemaker; Devon Hudgin, Erica Sarabia, and Alexandra Herman. Robert also leaves behind many more dear and close friends and extended family members.
