Robert (Bob) Franklin Hall passed away on July 7, 2026, in Albuquerque NM at age 92. Bob was born in McCall, Kentucky. He was the only son of Fonnie Farley Hall who died of TB in 1939 while rehabbing in Albuquerque and living in Tucumcari. He was the oldest son of Franklin A Hall with 8 half brothers and sisters.
Bob's love of music began in high school where he played Trombone in marching band. Bob and his father, Franklin Hall, returned to Kentucky in 1939 where he later met and married Alice Ramona McClellan in Huntington, West Virginia in 1953. Bob's fond memories of New Mexico as a child resulted in Bob leaving C&O Railroad and with Ramona selling their home in West Virginia. They moved to Albuquerque in 1960 with their children, Clinton, Bobby and Eva. Bob and his wife of 50 years, Ramona, owned Winrock 66 and Wyoming Chevron before running Bob Hall Automotive.
Bob and family enjoyed many successful years of auto racing which garnered championships and track records throughout the Southwest.
Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Ramona; son, Clinton; and granddaughter, Mariah. He is survived by his grandchildren, Corey, Kim, Lisa and Trenton; along with six great-grandchildren; and his significant other of ten years, Tory Bartlow.
All who knew Bob will remember and miss his bigger than life presence.
