Robert Ford (Bob), (Bobbie) was the most fun-loving, quick-witted jokester around. His strength showed true the most in recent years, while he battled his declining health, and left this earth on March 21, 2024. He was born in Garber, Oklahoma and later moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico where he met his wife and started a family. Bob had a love for hunting, fishing, and was a country boy at heart. He loved dancing with his wife and girls, but nothing could beat a good ole’ Randy Travis song. He would sing along with his sweet baritone voice that would carry through the house.
He is preceded in death by his parents Robert and Irene Ford. His wife Gloria Ford, and his daughter, Caryn Ford, sister Mary Jane Comstock and her husband Jimmy. Robert leaves behind his daughter, Dorene Ford, two granddaughters Andrea Nevarez, husband Raymond Nevarez, and Michelle Mann, husband Chris Mann. Great-grandchildren Quentin Lee, Seymour Baca Jr., Aviana Nevarez, Colton Mann and Santos Nevarez. Also, countless lives that he touched with his bright smile.
He spent his life as a hard worker and owned his own contractor business where he provided for his entire family until the end of his life.
Bob was best known for his stories and his ability to make anyone laugh. It didn't matter if he knew you well, or if he just met you, you can be sure he would share a story with you about "that one time years ago," and rest assured you'd be laughing and wondering who this outgoing and funny old man was. If you ever met Bob, you knew his most prized moments were shared with his family and watching his great-grandchildren grow up brought him the most joy.
Bob was the true definition of a man's man, he was loyal, honest, had integrity and was never late and always showed up! Bob left an imprint on this earth that will never be forgotten, he will be deeply missed.
Please join us for the celebration of his life on April 19, 2024, at 11:30 at French Mortuary located at 1111 University Blvd NE Albuquerque, N.M 87102, with a burial to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetary located at 7999 Wyoming Blvd NE Albuquerque, NM 87109
