Robert James D'Lamater

D'LAMATER, ROBERT JAMES Died on September 2, 2014, after a full, fruitful life of 93 years. Robert was most proud of his 21 years in the US Marine Corps serving in World War II and the Korean Conflict, retiring as a Captain; his athletic successes as a four-year three sport letterman in high school, Fayette, OH, and golf champion at Paradise Hills Country Club, Albuquerque, NM; and, his greatest pride, Doris, his wife of 67 years. Robert is survived by Doris; son, Gary and wife, Susan D'Lamater; 2 granddaughters and their husbands, Faith and Will Lau and Alison and Meredith Neal; 3 great-grandchildren, Penelope, Elodie and Lleyton; brother, Earl; and sisters, Dorothy, Marvel, and Barbara. Services will be held Monday, September 8, 2014, 10:00 a.m., at Paradise Hills United Methodist Church, of which Robert was a founding member, 4700 Paradise Blvd, NW.
