CLARK, ROBERT LEE, age 88, and a resident of Albuquerque since 1965, died August2,2026. Bob was pre-deceased by his wife Vonda Colbert Clark on August 2,2A23 whom he fondly described as the love of his life, and on July 3 , 2025 his oldest son Gregory Clark. Bob is survived by his son Jason Clark, grandchildren Austin and Madalyne Clark, and step grandchildren Amanda Marquez, Audrey Crespin, and Jeremy Marquez by his second wife Cruzita Pino Clark (deceased), and by his sister, Judith Perry of Rio Rancho. Bob was born in Two Rivers, WI October 25,1937 to William Henry Clark Jr of Manitowoc, WI and Edith Stone of Milwaukee, WI. Moving frequently while growing up, he attended 13 schools in the US and England during WWII and the Korean war, earned a BSME from the University of Wisconsin in 1960 and an MBA from UNM in 1970. Bob spent his entire engineering career in defense related work - frst with Greenland Contractors building the Ballistic Missile Early Waming System at Thule AFB, Greenland; then with General Motors in Milwaukee working on the Titan II inertial guidance system; then with General Dynamics and later the Air Force in Roswell, NM installing and maintaining Atlas F ICBMs; then at KAFB with the Naval Weapons Evaluation Facility and finally with the Department of Energy in nuclear weapons related work; retiring in 1991. He built A Thrifu Self Storage in Albuquerque and operated it for more than 20 years. In reflecting on his life he often said "I've had a good ride." FRENCH-Lomas is in charge of the arrangements.
