Rita Phifer

Rita Phifer, age 80, beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and daughter, was called to her eternal resting place on Saturday, December 14, 2024. She entered this world on February 17, 1944, in Albuquerque, NM, born to Carmel and Igenia Vigil.

She is survived by her husband, Donald Phifer MD; daughter, Debbie Allen; son, Robert Trujillo; son, Chris Trujillo; and daughter, Dawnyale Phifer; sister, Sylvia Thompson; brother, Rick Vigil; brother, Victor Vigil; sister, Janet Vigil-Sanchez; and sister, Jackie Vigil; granddaughters, Alyx Morimoto, Jaymie Morimoto, Valerie Montes, Kaitlin Chae (KC) Trujillo, and Cierra Jade (CJ) Trujillo; and great-granddaughters, Jazmine Montes; Samantha Montes; and Alison Montes.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, December 30, 2024, 10:30 a.m. at FRENCH - Westside Chapel, 9300 Golf Course Rd NW, Albuquerque, NM 87114.

Interment will follow the memorial service at San Jose de Armijo Cemetery.
