Richard A. Sessa, 92, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 15, 2026, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Born on Friday, September 8, 1933, in Chicago, Illinois, Richard lived a full and vibrant life dedicated to his family, faith, and community.

A devout Catholic, Richard's faith was a cornerstone of his life. He was deeply family-oriented and took immense pride in ensuring the well-being of those he loved. Known for his fun-loving spirit and generous heart, he brought joy to everyone around him and left an indelible mark on all who knew him.

Richard was a man of many talents and passions. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed fishing with family and friends. He found joy in gardening and had a knack for fixing just about anything. Cooking with his family brought him great happiness, and he was known as a great dancer who could light up any room with his moves. Beyond his hobbies, Richard was also a very successful businessman whose hard work and dedication earned him respect in his professional endeavors.

He is survived by his loving children: Susan, Linda, Rick, and Debra; his two granddaughters, Lindsay and Stephanie; four great-grandsons; as well as numerous nephews and nieces. Richard's legacy of love and care will live on through them. He is preceded in death by his parents, James V. Sessa and Theresa Sessa; his sister, Rita Prassa; and his brothers, Eugene Sessa and Edward Sessa.

Richard's memory will be treasured by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His warmth, humor, and unwavering devotion to family will continue to inspire those he leaves behind.

May his soul rest in eternal peace. A Wake will be held on Thursday, March 5, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at FRENCH- Lomas. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, March 6, 2026, at 10:30 AM at Prince of Peace Catholic Church 12500 Carmel Ave NE.
