January 24, 1946 - December 29, 2025

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Richard Ralicki, age 79. Rich passed away peacefully at home on Monday, December 29th in Rio Rancho, New Mexico.

Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to William P. Ralicki and Helen L. (Szambelan) Ralicki on January 24, 1946. Predeceased by his parents, sister Patricia (Ralicki) McGowan and brother-in-law Marty. He is also predeceased by his loyal, fur baby companion Louie the boxer, who he said gave him a new found purpose by keeping him active and engaged into his mid 70's. Rich is survived by his daughters Jennifer Brunick (John) as well as Alexis Ralicki, his ex-wife Mary and her husband Alan Paprzycki who was also his best friend. He is also survived by his nephew Chip McGowan (Laurie Kessler) and children, Maura Domashinski (Mark) and children and Katie Hoffman (Justin) and children.

Rich served in the United States Air Force from 1967 to 1971, where he played an important role in operating and providing AGE support to Air Force One during President Nixon's visits to the United Kingdom and Rome, Italy.

He went on to have a distinguished career in the Aerospace industry, contributing to the NASA Tracking and Data Relay Satellite System program. Afterward, he worked as a Network Engineer for various companies across multiple states before retiring from IBM in New Mexico. He also spent over 20 years as a resident of Aurora, Colorado.

In his younger years, he was an active hiker and outdoorsman, often taking his daughters on hiking, camping, and fishing trips, where they explored the stunning western U.S. and its mountain ranges. He had a natural love for nature and adventure, which he passed on to his family. He also enjoyed traveling & visited numerous countries for both business & pleasure.

He was known for his warm and charismatic personality, always quick with a joke and making everyone feel comfortable.

He was a deeply kind and loving father and with his infectious humor, he made a lasting impact on all who knew him.

Rich will be missed dearly by his family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to have known him. His memory will live on in the hearts of those he touched.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date, more details to come. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to an animal charity of your choice.
