Richard Oscar Grant

Born August 6, 1954 - Died July 19, 2025

Richard was preceded in death by his mother Juanita Grant and Father Oscar Grant.

Richard is survived by his sister Peggy Grant Brock; nephews, Matthew Brock, Brody Brock, Andrew Brock, and Jordan Brock. Nieces, Jennifer-Plummer Lane, Tammy Frick, and Letitia Brock, grand nephews, Austin Plummer, Steven Plummer, Joshua Plummer, Issac Brock, Eric Brock, Domanic Brock, Elijah Brock, Justin Frick, Jacob Frick, Jayden Brock, Malachi Brock, Isaiah Brock, and Lukas Brock; grandniece, Brittanie Reynolds.

Richard was a lifelong resident of Albuquerque. He attended Valley High School. Rick loved music; he played the trumpet and guitar. He was a walker and hiker like his dad. He could walk miles before Parkinson's.

Before Ricky's dad passed at 98, Rick and his dad took care of each other. What a blessing to see the dedication between the two.

Ricky loved people more than anything. He would talk to neighbors and friends at McDonalds. He loved fishing with Brady and cherished visits from Matthew and Andrew.

Richard attended church when possible and enjoyed visiting with attendees.

Rick was an animal lover, and dogs were the pets found at the Grant house.

Richard suffered much of his life with various medical issues. Even through the worst of his last days, he never complained. He had great respect for those who cared for him. He greeted his caregivers warmly.
