Richard P. Gammie, 82, our beloved husband and father, passed away on February 10, 2016. He was born on June 11, 1933, in Waukegan, IL, to George and Charlotte Gammie.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Joan. He is also survived by his children, Linda, Donna and Bill, and his grandchildren, Stephanie, Valerie, Rachel, Cassandra, and Ryan.

He graduated from Northern Illinois University with a Bachelor's Degree in 1958 and had a long and successful career with Sears in the Chicago area. Upon retirement in 1990, Richard and Joan moved to Cherokee Village, AR, where they spent the next 23 years with friends living on the lake. Richard was a past president of the Cherokee Village Kiwanis Club and worked tirelessly on their many projects, especially Children First. He was active in the church and within the community. They moved to Albuquerque two years ago to be closer to family. He had a great sense of humor. He enjoyed golfing and fishing and joking with friends.
