Richard Andrew Gallegos

Richard Gallegos, age 77, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, July 27, 2020 after a courageous battle with terminal cancer.  He was preceded in death by his father, Celestino Gallegos; mother, Pauline Lucero; brother, Teddy Gallegos; and sister, Leonila Gallegos.  Richard is survived by Peggy Walters; sisters, Betty Jaramillo (Paul), Geri Martinez (Sonny), Marcie Valdez (John), and Patricia Leach; brothers, Harold Lucero (Carol), Ron Lucero (Louise); and his dog, Lady.

At his request, no service will be held.

Richards interest included fishing, gardening, playing his acoustic guitar, collecting DVDs, visiting neighbors and spending time with his dog, Lady.  In his younger years he worked in construction as a framer, he liked the movie business and had a small part in a major motion picture "Crazy Heart."  Richard and his caregiver, Peggy, spent many peaceful years together, they liked planting a small garden, taking care of their home, and raising their two small dogs.
