Richard Espinosa of Corrales, was born in Maxwell, New Mexico on August 31, 1931 to Apolonia Espinosa and Jose Espinosa. Richard served his country in the Korean War for two years as medic and seven years in the Army Reserves. In 1955 he met Placida (Patty) Mirabal and they were married on July 4th that same year. They shared 63 wonderful years of marriage together. Richard owned his own construction business, was a very hard worker and loved his profession. He has built more fireplaces than anyone in the entire state of New Mexico. He would sing and hum while he worked and he worked until the age of eighty three. He loved his family with all his heart; he loved the Lord, Jesus Christ and always shared his love for the Lord with his family. His family will miss him dearly. He was “Pompo” to his grandchildren, extended family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his son, Billy Joe Espinosa. Richard is survived by his wife, Patty; his sons, Rocky Espinosa, Michael Espinosa and wife Ellen, David Espinosa and wife Sandy and his daughter, Lisa Espinosa; his grandchildren, Billy Joe Espinosa, Celina Espinosa-Chou and husband Jeremy, Michelle Espinosa, Mason Espinosa, Olivia Espinosa, Sophia Zuanich and Anthony Zuanich; his brother, William Espinosa and his sister, Arlene Wagner. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at FRENCH-Westside. A service will be held on Thursday, March 1, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Central Seventh-day Adventist Church at 2201 Estancia Dr. NW Albuquerque, NM 87120.
